We’re happiest with the cosmetics that we’ve made ourselves. Why? It’s because they’re natural, almost free and easy to make. It’s also true about body lotion with cocoa butter and jojoba oil. Check how to prepare it and what properties it offers.
You need only ecological ingredients to make the body lotion. They are available on the Internet, at healthy food stores and chemists. Prepare: 50 grams of cocoa butter, 50 grams of coconut oil, 50 grams of beeswax, spoon of sweet almond oil, spoon of jojoba oil and a few drops of essential oils. The last ingredient not only will enrich the fragrance of the lotion but will also have a beneficial impact on our face and body skin. How is the lotion made? Melt all the ingredients in a water bath. Take a small glass bowl and put it above the big pot filled with a small amount of water. Firstly, melt the beeswax and cocoa butter. Then, gradually add coconut, jojoba and sweet almond oils. When all the ingredients are combined, you must cool the mixture down. Finally, pour essential oils and mix all the ingredients well.
You can pour the body lotion into a bottle with atomiser and use it like a regular product. However, you may create unusual cosmetics. How? Prepare silicon pastry cases; remember to wash them thoroughly before use. Pour the mixture of jojoba oil and cocoa butter into the cases and wait until it sets. Your body lotion is ready. What properties does it possess? It’s obvious that it offers far better performance than cosmetics available at drug stores. Firstly, it protects the skin from UV radiation – it contains natural sunscreen (SPF 5). Secondly, moisturizes, nourishes and prevents overdrying of epidermis. Also, it eliminates dry cuticles and the feeling of tight and stinging skin. It may prove to be useful in restoring the skin and healing minor wounds. Thirdly, it has bronzing properties therefore it can replace a self-tanner.
